A sweet antique Victorian aquamarine pearl pendant built around a beautiful oval-cut aquamarine in the centre with a desirable aqua-green hue that is reminiscent of tropical ocean waters. It weighs approx. 8 carats and is mounted in a 15ct gold frame, haloed by eight white seed pearls and two more on the loop above.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
The pendant is in excellent condition and showcases a gorgeous natural aquamarine that will look perfect on the end of a gold chain.
